My name is Mariam. I’m fifteen (15), and I live in the Georgian countryside of Ivandidi.
What do you do in your free time?
I have lots of friends. And when we get together, we like to play soccer and volleyball, or just run.
What do your parents do for work?
My mother is a librarian, but works for the army. My father doesn’t have a job; he’s currently unemployed.

I have a sister, Diana. And a brother called Giorgi.
Do you like going to school?
I do like going to school: I really like mathematics and Georgian.
What are your hopes for the future?
I want to finish school, and then go on to university.
What do you want to be when you’re older?
I don’t know yet . . . but I think I’ll study medicine.
What do you think are the big global problems?
From my point of view, the big global problems are climate change. And also that people often don’t understand each other.
What makes you happy?
I’m happy when my family is well, and I can be with my friends.
