My name is Nuria. I’m thirty-four (34) years old, and I live in Barcelona.

What do you do for a living?

I work in a project for young people. We inform them, for example, about the dangers of drugs.

I earn exactly one-thousand-one-hundred-and-forty-one euros (€1,141) a month. That’s not a lot if you think about today’s cost of living.

What does globalization mean to you?

Globalization means being able to buy fruit that we can’t grow here or at a time of year when it doesn’t grow here.

Or being able to get into contact with people all over the world.

What worries you?

I’m worried about the fact that I can’t buy a house because the bank won’t give me a mortgage. I’m thirty-four (34) now, and because I work a lot, I don’t have any time for children.

What makes you happy?

Enjoying life . . . being with friends . . . going to parties.

I’m also happy when the end of the month comes around.

What’s your favorite food?

I like food that’s cooked with love. I’m a vegetarian. It’s been a long time since I bought or ate meat.

What do you expect for your future?

To have a partner who loves me. A good income. Being happy. Leading a quiet life with lots of children.
