My name is Giuseppe Vittorio. I live in Catania, and I’m 59 years old.

What do you do for a living?

I sell fish. I get up very early in the morning, get the fish and take it all to the market. I get by, but I don’t make a lot of money.

What does “globalization” mean to you?

Everyone should do well. We all belong together.

What worries you?

I worry about my family, about the children who are still small, but the older ones too. How are they doing in school? Will they find work? You have to put food on the table and see that you get on.

That’s normal, isn’t it?

What makes you happy?

Sports. Ball sports. Soccer. Things like that.

How do you spend your leisure time?

In my free time, I go to the countryside. I have a dog there, as well as chickens and other animals. I can relax best in the country.

What do you expect for your future?

If the crisis continues like this, there won’t be a future for us; not much at all.

Which country would you like to visit?

I’d like to see America one day: New York, Manhattan. I imagine it’s really great. But then I’d want to come back to Catania, because it’s my home.
