My name is Ziran Wang. I’m 23 and live in Shanghai.

What do you do for a living?

I’ll be working as a hostess in the German pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

It’ll be my job to look after the guests. I’ll be explaining the exhibits and representing Germany well.

What does “globalization” mean to you?

You can travel anywhere today. And I love to travel. In Shanghai today you can also eat Mexican food and see German cars. Or go to a Japanese restaurant. I think it’s a good thing.

What makes you happy?

A lot of things make me happy, like meeting up with friends or traveling, and speaking and learning German.

How do you spend your leisure time?

Apart from learning German, I also enjoy calligraphy. I started learning it when I was three. My grandfather taught me first, and then I had a teacher.

I also like cooking and cleaning. When everything clean and tidy, that’s just great.
