Transcript

My name is Brian Anderson. I’m a diving instructor and charter boat driver in north Berick in Scotland.

What does globalization mean to you?

Meeting more people from different lands, different lives. When I grew up in Scotland, we met some visitors; since then there have been more, more ferry services, air flights are getting cheaper. Flights are cheap.

Everything is becoming closer.

I’m not sure everybody becoming the same would be a good thing, but I don’t think that will happen.

What worries you?

Lack of money mostly. I worry about paying the bills at the end of the month. Not being busy.

What’s your favorite food?

Probably seafood. I’m very partial to scallops, usually done very simple, just in garlic and butter. A salad and black pepper, the fresher the better.

How do you spend your leisure time?

Diving is also my hobby. So I get to do my hobby while I’m working.

And then I’ll go off in the evening and ride my motorbike just to go for a run around the country.

Which country would you like to visit?

I would like to visit southern America. the Aztec people the buildings they’ve made. fascinating. I’ve seen many programs on them. I’ve seen many theories. But no one really knows.

What makes you happy?

Being out in the sea. Being a nice happy day, helping people. Lots of things.
